Drs. Gerald and Ann Croissant have studied plant science in the classroom and the field for a combined 60 plus years. The couple founded the San Gabriel Mountains Regional Conservancy in 1997, and the Glendora Conservancy in 1991. Gerald, a professor emeritus at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, has studied at Colorado State University, University of Idaho, University of Wisconsin and New Mexico State University.
Ann, a professor emeritus at Azusa Pacific University, has degrees from University of Northern Colorado, University of Wisconsin and University of Southern California.
Born in Michigan, photographer Shirley DeBraal, has spent most of her adult life near the San Gabriels. A love of nature and hiking led her to capture the images of wildflowers for the San Gabriel Mountains Regional Conservancy. She received a BA from Hope College and was Facilities Coordinator at Citrus College.
